How long does it take to get a caricature done?

Normally 10 - 14 days. Then allow a few days for shipping.

But don't panic, if you need it urgently I can do it for you in a few days, just let me know your timeframe.

What size are they?

You can order either A4 size (297mm x 210mm) or A3 size (420mm x 297mm) which is double A4 size.

The larger A3 size enables me to include more personal detail in the finished caricature. All caricatures on this site are A3 size.

How do I get the information and photos to you?

Simply use the online ordering form to provide information.

I will then get back to you on where to email any photos you have of the person I'll be doing the caricature of.

What information do you need on the person?

The more information the better.

Things such as hair color, eye colour, occupation, hobbies, obsessions, favourite drinks, favourite sayings, include it all.

How many photos do you need?

Around 3-5 recent clear shots of each person in the caricature, (happy snaps are fine, but none with the person wearing sunglasses).

If you can send more than 3 that's great. If posting photos I will make certain all are returned with your finished caricature.

If you are stuck and can only find 1 photo of the person I will work from that.

Often the difference between a good caricature and a great caricature are the photos supplied.

You can post or email photos to me.

How much do they cost?

Prices vary according to your exact needs - as you might imagine, there are numerous variables we need to consider, including:

• size,
• number of people in painting,
• colour or Black & White
• etc

Once I have all of this information I can get back to you to confirm I can do it in the timeframe required and what the cost will be.

Do you do group or multiple individual caricatures?

Yes, I certainly do. Please email me with the details and I will send you a special bulk price.

When do I pay for my caricature?

Full payment is made on placement of your order.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made online by EFT, money order, cheque, major credit cards and PayPal.

How will you send the finished caricature to me?

I send your caricature via Air Mail in a very sturdy flat pack or tube. Your caricature will arrive in perfect condition.

Are they framed?

No. Framing is very much a matter of personal choice, so I leave that to you or the recipient.

I do provide an Information Sheet with some framing suggestions so it looks its best.

Are colour caricatures better than black & white?

I find full color are better. Colour gives the caricature more impact and depth.

What are the caricatures painted with?

I use only artist quality watercolors and inks on 160gsm acid free watercolor paper, guaranteeing years and years of enjoyment.

What if I don't live near you?

No problem.

I have done caricatures for people all over Australia and the world.

I have sent caricatures to customers from Cairns to Cape Town, Sydney to New York and nearly everywhere in-between, with absolutely no problems.

And remember, postage and handling is absolutely free.
