Reference Head Shot for Caricature

IMPORTANT: Often it is the quality of the photos that I receive that make the difference between a good caricature and a great one.

As I can only understand the facial features of the subject from the photos you send please make sure only clear and recent shots are sent to me.

This is an example of a great reference photo at the perfect size.

Other tips:

• Make sure the photos are big enough to make out facial features and details, too small and they pixelate when enlarged to view - please no sunglasses.
• If you can a three-quarter view (as above) makes for a more interesting caricature and is better than a straight forward front on photo.
  
• Head shots are great, but at least one photo showing body-type would also be handy.
• I understand it is not always easy to send the perfect photo. Happy snaps are generally fine for me to work from. Please understand that the extra effort that you put in to sending good photos now will result in an even better surprise caricature gift.
